This work combines commercially-printed batik fabrics with fabric I dyed myself – taught by fellow LAFTA member Pat Sturtzel. So, I am breaking free of the confines of colores and designs created by others,  It also includes a small applique butterfly “breaking free” from the confines of the upper shape.
