Kathleen Loomis introduced me to the possibilities of contrasting very narrow pieced strips and larger fabric blocks – sewn and cut and re-sewn to form new shapes.  The “path” that emerged reminded me that sometimes when we least know where to turn, a path opens up for us and gives us renewed direction and purpose.
