This quilt is inspired by one of the murals of Rudolfo Morales, that cover every wall of a municipal building in his home town of Ocotlan in Oaxaca, Mexico.  I was particularly drawn to his depiction of a group of women musicians.  My work incorporates colorful textiles purchased in Guatemala.
